Block-chain

Block-chain is a technology which allows to make direct electronic transactions without intermediary, e.g. banks for wire transfer or notary certification for legal documents, once it has been certificated.  While we don't expect users to fully understand how the technology works, as we don't necessary need to know everything about air planes to use them for our travel, we, however encourage our users to learn about block-chain to use our platform in full potential.

There are several points which can describe the block-chain network from any other networks listed below.

Stability and data integrity

Data is storing and updating (syncing) on every computer connected to block-chain network, so even if some computers will switch off for whatever reason, block-chain network will not fail, as we can experience with centralized networks, where communication between participants goes through "main" computer, called server. Fail of the server causes collapse of the whole connected network until the server is not fixed.

Privacy

Your computer in block-chain is represented as an unique Address - a bunch of numbers and characters - and this is it! You don't need to provide your personal data in order to use the network if you wish so. Nevertheless, LaborX platform gives an option to provide personal information and its validation for better Workers, Client and Recruiters relationship purposes.

Privacy Policy

Faster transfers

Your money or data related transactions, e.g. job contract, are directed to an receiving address without intermediates and have no necessity of locking access to use your address while transferring which are resulting is faster and cheaper operations.

Security

As we mentioned above, data  stores and automatically updates on every participant computer, so every participant has an actual version of database. So what are the data and how is it secure then? Data in the block-chain is just transaction records made by the participants and stored in chronological order. A simple money transaction record could look like ADDRESS to ADDRESS, AMOUNT, TIME. As we can see without knowing who is behind this addresses, we can not identify who is sending to whom, making your transaction private.

If someone would try to change or hack the data in block-chain, the network itself will not allow this by verifying transaction record with all other copies of database. As long as the right copy is updated on the most computers, block-chain network can not be hacked which results in providing the new level of security on the internet.

Crypto-currency

As any other currencies are having its value, the crypto-curencies (tokens) are not an exception. The only difference between fiat and crypto money is in the source of its value. While fiat traditionally linked to gold or other physical resources, crypto-currency is linked to the technology it provides or working on.

Bitcoin

The most popular example would be Bitcoin which brought to us the block-chain and direct payments. Bitcoin had backed itself by bringing the technology which utilize many uses and help to solve various internet using problems.

Etherium

Another famous example of crypto-currency is Etherium, which added to block-chain functionality of performing actions together with sending transactions. Picture you're sending a digital contract  with terms, conditions and budget to a Worker. if the Worker accepts your offer, the new record creates in block-chain and contract will be automatically perform transaction if the job is done! And this is what you can do on LaborX today!

Time

Time is a crypto-currency of ChronoBank.io which were crowd-funded to make the LaborX platform happen. The main value of Time is its name says is actual time. While the idea is not new, ChronoBank.io managed to use block-chain technology for crypto money in the most efficient way. To learn more about the token read our whitepaper.

Labour-Hour

Labour-Hour crypto-currency are the fundamental unit of value within the ChronoBank.io system. The purpose of these tokens is to provide a non-volatile, in ationary-resistant digital store of value. LH connected to an approximate hour of work in your country, based on official bureau reports, hence when the influence occur, 1 LaborHour will reflect the change, and You will not afraid of loosing money. Account

LaborX Account

To join LaborX network we'll generate an Account, your Address, Public / Private Keys pair and 12 words password (Mnemonic Key). Find the detailed description of the terms below.

Address

Address is a unique number that  associates your computer with the LaborX block-chain network. Additional Addresses will be generated to send or receive money. The addresses will be accessible from My Funds (see Home or Profile menu).

Public and Private Keys

Public and Private Keys are the data your can use to login to the LaborX block-chain network. Picture the Public Key as a lock and Private Key as an actual key for the lock. By providing your Private Key, we're trying to match it with your Public Key and if they match we grant you an access to your data and network. In addition Public and Private Keys are much more secure way to handle your account than email/password pair. Learn more about security guidelines of using your Private Key.

Mnemonic Key

Mnemonic Key is a 12 words password representing nothing more but your Private Key. Learn more about security guidelines of using your Mnemonic Key.

Profile Settings

Login Options

Use Mnemonic Key

During creation of a LaborX Account you'll be provided with a Mnemonic Key, which you can use to login to LaborX block-chain Network.

Make sure you're providing your mnemonic key to a trusted network. Make sure your computer is free from viruses which can scan your screen. Never store your mnemonic key on your computer.

Security level: medium.

Use Wallet file

If you're not new to block-chain you may use your existing wallet file or download one during creation of a new account for login to LaborX block-chain Network.

Make sure you're providing your file to a trusted network. Never store your password for the wallet file on a computer.

Security level: medium.

Hardware Solutions

Ledger Nano hardware solution is one of the most secure ways to manage your Digital Wallet. Visit the vendor site for more info.

Trezor hardware solution is one of the most secure ways to manage your Digital Wallet. Visit the vendor site for more info.

Security level: high.

Use Private Key

If you're not new to block-chain you may use your existing Private key for login to LaborX block-chain Network.

Low Security Level. Use this method only if you have no other options!

How to Restore Account

If you suddenly lost your Mnemonic key use wallet file as login option downloaded during new account creation. If you're using hardware solution please refer to the manufacturer manual.

Validation

We care about our network integrity and asks our members to pass verification process done by our team to ensure every profile does meet our quality data standards. Validation will give you an access to Job Boards with higher skilled and trustworthy workers and clients.  Complete the following tasks to gain higher validation level.

Reputation and Rating

Rating describes how well a client or a worker performs their duties and is dictated by their partners. The better the individuals rating (based on previous work), the higher the price they are be able to demand for an hour of work. After a job is completed, both the client and worker are asked to rate to each other. The rating is in the range between 1 and 5, where 1 corresponds to a total disaster and 5 represents exceptional work.

The rating system is time and quantity aware. By this, we mean that older ratings should contribute less to the current rating than recent ratings (i.e., the ratings are recency-weighted). For example, a bad rating accrued a year ago by a worker, can be redeemed by a series of recent good ratings, thus restoring the reputation of the worker.

Communication & Support

To start communication with other person you may use People menu or Your Profile menu > Messages.

People menu

Go to People and start your search. Click on the selected person card to access profile from where you can send a message.

Profile access

Click on your profile icon and choose Messages option.

Communication Settings

In order to change communication settings navigate to Home > Settings and scroll to Messaging section.

Recruiters Inbox

If you are a Recruiter and have created a Job Board, you can access messages related to the job board at Home > Recruiter > Job Boards > Job Board > Messages.

Contact Support

To communicate with support click on LaborX contact in your chat contacts list and write a message. Our system will automatically create a request and will display snipped in your chat. If you'd like to create a new request or switch to previous one click options button in the LaborX support chat.

Security

Security Guidelines

  1. Copy your Mnemonic Key on paper. Don't save your password on your computer, copy it on a paper and store in a safe place.
  2. Don't share your Wallet File or Private Key with anyone you don't trust. Even the wallet file is protected by password, the file still can be used against you and you may lose your funds. To avoid the situation do not share your file with anyone you don't trust.
  3. What if I've lost my Mnemonic Key? You may use you Wallet File instead.
  4. What if I don't have neither Wallet File nor Mnemonic Key? We do not store this information and Your account will be lost together with all your funds and history.
  5. Following the simple rules will make your account secure.

2 Factor Authentication

2FA provides an additional security level for your wallet by generating one-time code in your mobile App. The codes are used to confirm performing operations, e.g. signing contract or withdrawing money from your account. You can enable 2FA in your profile settings.

How to choose cryptocurrency

You can setup your profile to receive and stend payments in various type of cryptocurrencies. Refer to our Cryptocurrency section to have a brief understanding. Always check who's and what's behind the particular token. The most useful currencies are on the top, because of usefulness for society.

Deposit and Withdraw

In order to deposit (receive) or withdraw (send) your funds:

  1. Go to My Funds.
  2. Locate currency in the list  of the funds page.
  3. Click Withdraw button to send money to another Address.
  4. Click Deposit button to receive money to your Address. Copy the address provided in pop-up and give it your sender or paste in your other wallet application if you have one.

Important! Make sure you're depositing to Address or withdrawing from Address with the same currency. Your funds may be lost if you'll try to send Bitcoin to Etherium Address, for example.

How to exchange LH to your local currency

ChronoMint

For Recruiters

Job Board

Job Board is a sub-network for Clients and Workers with custom Category or join requirements. Clients and Workers can join Job Board, based on set by Recruiter requirements. Being joined Clients can post jobs and Workers can Apply for a job.

By default all users are members of General Board. As a Recruiter you can create your own Job Boards.

Create Job Board

In order to create Job Board click the link or use button New Board in the top menu for desktop and blue + button on home page for mobile.

Job Post Fee. You can setup fixed or percent fee on Job Board form.

Manage Job Boards

In order to manage Job Boards navigate  to Home > Recruiter > My Job Boards.

Mute Job Board

In order to mute Job Board you're already in go to Settings and scroll down till Job Boards Section.

Recruiter Profile and Services

Manage Recruiter Profile

In order to change your Recruiter Profile settings navigate to Home > My Profile > Recruiter Profile.

Manage Recruiting Services

Clients on LaborX can send you a job for recruiting services. You can see such offers in chat or at Home > Recruiter > Jobs. Setup your package(s) on Recruiter Profile page to display them publicly under Info tab of your Job Boards. You have also an option to display Recruiting Packages under Jobs tab of your public Job Board page.

Accept or reject an offer

  1. Navigate to Home > Recruiter > Jobs.
  2. Click on a job name and view the job.
  3. Select Accept or Reject from the menu on the job page.

Review Applicants

  1. Navigate to Home > Recruiter > Jobs.
  2. Find a job card and click Review.
  3. Review applicants and use an arrow to move them to Candidates column.
  4. Click Send to Client.

Manage Conflicts

Clients can declined an Invoice sent by Worker, if there is a conflict situation. In order to review such conflicts:

  1. Navigate to Home > Recruiter > Jobs.
  2. Find a job with a red stripe on the card's side and click on Review.
  3. Click on Log tab and review the reason of decline.

Getting Paid

You will receive payments automatically once the following will be met:

  1. A Job has been posted in your job board.
  2. A Worker has been assigned (accepted an offer) in recruiting service case.

In order to view your funds navigate to Home > My Funds.

For Workers

Job Board

Job Board is a sub-network for Clients and Workers with custom Category or join requirements. Clients and Workers can join Job Board, based on set by Recruiter requirements. Being joined Clients can post jobs and Workers can Apply for a job.

By default all users are members of General Board. As a Worker you can join other Job Boards.

Job Board Requirements

Recruiter can set custom category and requirements for Validation Level and Rating. In order to join such boards your profile should meet the requirements.

Mute Job Board

In order to mute Job Board you're already in go to Settings and scroll down till Job Boards Section.

Worker Profile

In order to change your Worker Profile settings navigate to Home > My Profile > Worker Profile.

Getting Paid

Jobs Search

  1. Navigate to Home > Worker > Applications and Offers > Applications.
  2. Find a job card and click Review if your application is positive.
  3. In order to dismiss application hover the question mark and click Dismiss Application.

Manage Applications

  1. Navigate to Home > Worker > Applications and Offers > Applications.
  2. Find a job card and click Review if your application is positive.
  3. In order to dismiss application hover the question mark and click Dismiss Application.

Accept or reject an offer

  1. Navigate to Home > Worker > Applications and Offers > Offers.
  2. Click on a job name or Review and review the job.
  3. Select Accept or Reject from the menu on the job page.

Manage To-Do

In order to manage your active jobs navigate to Home > Worker > To-Do. You may also use the Schedule tool for planning.

Send an Invoice

  1. Navigate to Home > Worker > To-Do
  2. Click the tick icon near the message. You may also do the same on the job page.
  3. Complete an invoice form and click Send.

You will receive payments automatically once your Client has approved your Invoice. In order to view your funds navigate to Home > My Funds.

Manage Conflicts

If there is a conflict situation, Clients can decline an Invoice sent by Worker,. Communicate with your job parties to resolve conflicts. In addition client can client can send your a job for re-do. You can find such jobs at Home > Worker > To-Do with a red RE-DO label on the job card.

For Clients

Job Board

Job Board is a sub-network for Clients and Workers with custom Category or join requirements. Clients and Workers can join Job Board, based on set by Recruiter requirements. Being joined Clients can post jobs and Workers can Apply for a job.

By default all users are members of General Board.

Client's Job Board

As a Client you can join other Job Boards or manage your own if you have validated Client profile as an organisation. Once validated your own job board will be accessible from Home > Client > My Job Board.

Job Board Requirements

Recruiter can set custom category and requirements for Validation Level and Rating. In order to join such boards your profile should meet the requirements.

Join Job Board

In order to join job board refer to Job Board section.

Mute Job Board

In order to mute Job Board you're already in go to Settings and scroll down till Job Boards Section.

Client Profile

In order to change your Client Profile settings navigate to Home > My Profile > Client Profile.

Getting Job Done

Post a Job

Click on New Job button on desktop or + icon on mobile devices on Home page. Note, that some job boards may have a job post fee, which is reflected on the new job form.

Keep in mind these several limitations on job post:

  1. Job Board can be changed but you'll need to pay additional fee if applicable.
  2. Job board and budget can not be changed once the contract with a Worker has been signed. You do however can increase budget in the case.
  3. Job post fee is not refundable.
  4. Termination of active job will be equals to refund claim.

Review applicants and send a job offer

  1. Navigate to Home > Client > Posted Jobs.
  2. Find a job card and click Review.
  3. Review applicants and use an arrow to move them to Candidates column.
  4. Check Contract tab of the job.
  5. Click Send an Offer for an applicant in Candidates column. You may also send an offer using chat (refer to Communication section). A person you're sending the offer to will be added to candidates automatically.
  6. You may cancel your job offer manually ether in Posted Jobs or chat with a Worker. Your offer will be cancelled automatically in provided offer period if the Worker has not been accepted it yet.

Monitor Active jobs

In order to manage your active jobs navigate to Home > Client > Active Jobs.

Click on the job name to see related job information or change settings. You can check job stats in Client Stats menu.

Note that a Worker can not exceed the working time, unless you had changed it in your job settings.

Review and Pay an Invoice

  1. Navigate to Home > Client > Active Jobs.
  2. Any jobs marked by a Worker as completed will be displayed under Review and Pay section of the Active jobs page.
  3. You may check the job Log by clicking the job name on the card.
  4. Click Review button in the job card.
  5. Click Pay button in the invoice pop-up. Your funds will be withdrawn automatically once you've clicked Pay button.

In order to view your funds navigate to Home > My Funds.

Manage Conflicts

if there is a conflict situation, Clients can decline an Invoice sent by a Worker. Communicate with your job parties to resolve the conflict. In addition you can select the next actions on the Decline form:

  1. Handle conflict yourself. This option will send the job back to a Worker for re-do.
  2. Delegate conflict resolving to a Recruiter. Communicate with your recruiter if this option is suitable for her or him (see warranty section of your contract)
  3. Claim a refund. You may claim a refund if the contract conditions were breached. LaborX team will review your claim and notify you about the decision. Please note that job post fee is not refundable. By claiming refund you do also grant rights to access LaborX team support members to all job related data and contacts.

Hire a Recruiter

Complete the following tasks in order to hire a recruiter:

  1. Go to Job Boards and filter them by recruiting packages or browse People category.
  2. Join job board if you haven't yet.
  3. Go to Info tab of the job board and check the packages.
  4. Click on page menu button and select Hire a Recruiter.
  5. Follow the instructions in the opened side-bar.

You may hire recruiters using chat as well:

  1. Click on message button on the job board page to open a chat with the Recruiter.
  2. Click on + icon near the your message area and select Recruiter Offer.

Recruiter will be granted with the following rights:

  1. Change job description
  2. Review applicants and send selected candidates to Client
